A Crack in the Ceiling

The dollhouse that sits in the rec room of the Porter residence is a symbol of joy and perfection. Of late, it isn't being used, and the three dolls inside (Lilian, the porcelain doll, Barbs, the beauty queen and Joe, the army buff) are left to ponder… what next?

Doug and Elizabeth Porter's marriage produced a beautiful home and two children. After ten years of marriage, the mistake that was always in front of them (personality differences) comes to a head, creates a divide, and results in their separation. With the divorce, everyone under the ceiling, including Lilian, Barbs and Joe, are affected. The tense environment has the trio talking about the past, the present, which they're trying to understand, and the future, which they make futile attempts to predict.

If dolls could talk, what do you think they would say? They'd probably ask for help. Find out why!
